Can blogging make money? Sure it can, but just if you get a few of the basic concepts. The first thing to understand is that blogging is all about random attempt. Because there are a virtually unlimited number of blogs with an unlimited number of topics and target audiences, what works in one market might not work in another.

That’s why setting up your testing and tracking is the first step towards making profits from your blog. So what should you test and how do you do it? At a minimum, set up tracking of the quantity of visitors you are getting, how long they stay on your blog and whether they click or buy anything you are providing.

Google provides free software you can put on your blog which will keep track of all of this. It’s a tool called Google Analysis and you will find it under webmaster tools in your Google account. It will even maintain a record of your conversion goals and their monetary value.

Can Blogging Make Money? It Can If You Have Good Content

As long as you focus the subject of your blog so people never have any doubt what it is about, your monetization options are far better than if you don’t. This is because of the fact that any advertisers, JV partners or affiliate offers that are precisely targeted to your reader’s interests will not be seen as objectionable.

Partnering with product owners in a promotion of their product on your internet site can be one step to take. With partnerships like these, you have got the control over what you want and can always negotiate a deal. If your blog has a large readership, this option will be your best choice. If you are just starting, save the advertising deals and collaborations for later when you have traffic.

You can sell a sponsorships to your individual posts or of the entire blog itself. You might consider offering advertisers text links in your content so as to not appear intrusive. Text links tend to convert better than banners anyhow.

Offer affiliate products that have relevancy to a particular post with text links in the post itself. You can search sites like clickbank, paydotcom, or commission junction for products to sell. Don’t forget to consider physical products, not just downloadable ebooks.

If you are considered an authority in a certain field, then you can offer consulting or information products on your blog. If you have developed a liaison with your fans and they know, like and trust you, offering them your services and products can appear more beneficial than hype.

Can Blogging Make Money? It Can If You Have Traffic

So you’ve got good, applicable content to your blog. You have one or two monetization strategies prepared. Your content is targeted to a hungry market that wants to hear what you have to say. Hence now what?

Having a blog no one ever sees is pretty pointless. So how does one get visitors?

If you would prefer not to pay for traffic, you can do quite well using simple SEO strategies. SEO consists on on-page factors and off-page factors.

On-page factors mean having keyword optimized content. To keep it simplistic, put your keyword in your strapline, your subheads, the 1st paragraph, the last paragraph and spattered throughout the post. See how I have done it here. The key-phrase I am improving for is “Can Blogging Make Money?”. See how many times that phrase appears in this piece.

Off-page factors mean the making of links to your post from other sites – these are called backlinks. You can “spin” your article to create unlimited differences so each place it’s placed will have it’s own unique content so you avoid the Duplicate Content penalties.

After you have your “spun” article, then you can disburse it to hundreds or thousands of other internet sites automatically. There are a few programs that will automate this process for you. Getting into reviewing each tool is beyond the extent of this essay, but if you click the links below you can learn more and get my assistance.

Therefore can blogging make money? The answer is not only “yes” but exuberantly yes!

Not enough leads

Network marketers run out of people to talk to after their warm market and Internet marketers frequently have no traffic to their offers. The solution to both is the same. It’s called a:

Funded Proposal

What that means is that you initially sell a product or service your target market wants and then, once you have them as a customer you build a relationship of trust with them and then you can offer them your other products and services. Since, something like 99% of all network marketers and Internet marketers are failing or not making much money, there’s a big market.

So, how do you find out what they want? Where do you get that product? And, how do you sell it to them?

We’ve done the research, found out the keywords people are searching for, and created the product to sell them. On top of that we have complete marketing funnels so that once someone enters your funnel, the system takes them along the process until they buy. To check it out go to:

http://bit.ly/u4M0Gl

put in your email and then watch the video that comes up. Let me know if you have any questions about the system.

<fb:like href='http://joemcvoy.com/frustrated-with-or-hate-mlm-this-is-better' layout='button_count' show_faces='false' width='410' action='like' colorscheme='light' send='false' />

If you have ever been in an MLM and not made money, or just don’t like MLMs, check this out!

To make money in an MLM you need to build a big team who need to continually buy the product and not quit.

What I am going to tell you about here is completely different and is a totally new concept launched only 3 weeks ago.

It’s a One Level Affiliate program.

Now, affiliate programs have been around online forever, but not with a structure like this one.

It pays 100% commissions!

When I watched their first video, it seemed like hype to me and I also wondered how they could ever afford to pay out 100% and exist themselves.

But, after watching all their videos, now I understand and will explain all the details to you if you like.

What really convinced me to join is that a friend of mine, Rob Fore, joined 2 weeks ago and has already made $17,000.

Now, he had a list to promote to so I don’t expect to duplicate that and neither should you.

So what is this and how does it work?

It’s a done-for-you viral marketing platform that includes done-for-you marketing and up-selling funnels.

You can join for as little as little as $25 per month. You get your own marketing funnel and web sites and you could promote this without ever going online just by telling people about it and giving them your URL.

Find one other person who likes it too and you make $25 per month.

But, you can make much more – watch the video here to get the details:

http://bit.ly/u4M0Gl

The company, the Empower Network, has only been open for three weeks and they have already paid out $858,000 in commissions and had 7,000 people join.

People are now joining at the rate of 400 per day.

Opt in at my landing page here (you will have one just like it), watch the video and let me know what you think.

http://bit.ly/u4M0Gl

PS The conversion ratios in their marketing funnel are insane! 25% of people who watch the first video join. 50% of those accept the $100/month upsell, and 30% of those take the second one time $500 upsell.

PPS As of a few days ago, they now set up internationally so anyone can participate anywhere in the world.

PPPS Because I never recommend anything I wouldn’t buy myself, just know I bought in at the highest level.

* email autoresponders & broadcasting – can send prewritten messages to unlimited people for years

* voice broadcasting – you can call 2,000 businesses per hour with the latest technology

* fax broadcasting – still a great way to follow up with prospects and customers

* direct mail automation – just like email autoresponders but done with handwritten notes and cards

* social media – when set up right, you can reach thousands or millions of people through their networks

* mobile marketing – SMS messages get a 98% open rate vs >10% open rate for emails

* RSS feeds – you do have a blog, don’t you? You do have a way for readers to subscribe to your posts, right?

Get in touch if you would like help with any of these.

Major retailers don’t like to take risks and they want to buy a product that is already a proven seller. If you can prove your product sells well for other retailers, that removes much of this risk.

Then, as long as they believe they will make more profit from your product than whatever it replaces, and if you can convince them that you will be a reliable supplier, they’ll give you a test.

For all of my product lines, I always started with Target because I found them to be more receptive to new ideas. Once I had good sell-through numbers from Target, getting into Wal-Mart was a lot easier.

MY “SECRET FORMULA”

Here’s how I was able to have a 95% success rate with my new products…

I found a product category that was already selling well and then improved on it to make it sell better! This is a lot less risky than a completely new invention no one has ever seen before.

When I introduced my new school supply line, I was selling a category already known to sell well and I was the first company to make school supplies with a holographic “look”.

This allowed me to sell a 2 pocket folder to retail at $1.99 when my competition was retailing at $0.69! Because these products sold so well, I got a “Best New Vendor” award from Target’s stationery & school supply department.

Don’t let anybody tell you it’s necessary to have the lowest price.

It isn’t.

If you have a higher priced product that can sell the same unit volume as the lower priced products, the retailer will make much more money with your product and you can get away from concerns about price. Be prepared to prove it though. . .

We also get asked if Wal-Mart or other retailers will either buy your idea or product and finance the production for you.

The answer is no & no.

Wal-Mart, Target and other major chains are as concerned about prompt delivery as they are about your product’s saleability.

If all you have is a prototype and need financial help to get into production, that tells them you do not have the financial strength to do business with them.

But don’t despair. All hope is not lost. You can still use your prototype to:

1.	Make a licensing or joint venture deal with a company already supplying the chain you want to get in. You will want to find a company already in your target account’s stores who is already selling into the department your product belongs in and who does not have any directly competitive products to yours.

2.	Make a joint venture deal with another company to finance production. One good prospect for a JV is whoever will be making your product for you because they have a vested interest in it’s success.

3.	Make a deal with a smaller retailer explaining your situation and offering them a head start over any of their competitors.
